Vicky Kao is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Mississauga, Ontario.

Her artistic journey began as a little girl, drawing on everything and everyone, to eight years of music (piano and guitar), just under 10 years of creative and professional photography and now has gone back to drawing on everybody, most recently with tattooing since 2023.

During her photography career she started as a music photographer in Kingston, Ontario in 2016 working primarily with local bands. Once she realized her passion for photography she went to study it in Humber College in 2018. During this time she worked as a freelance photographer shooting portraits, events, fashion editorials and products. She was also a photography assistant to acclaimed Toronto photographers, Dan Lim and Jeff Hui for several years working on commercial shoots for brands like Harley Davidson, Nobis and Coppley.
Vicky became an established alternative fashion photographer who was published in over 10 magazine editorials, working with dozens of local fashion designers and models furthering the 'alternative edge' that Plastic Canon represents.

Since then, she most recently began an apprenticeship with Christian Maheaux (@x1506) at Yonge St. Tattoos in Toronto and became a tattoo artist since 2023.
